Life story James F. Schofield, age 69, of Madison, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. Born February 16, 1947 in El Centro, California, he was the son of James A. Schofield. Mr. Schofield was a graduate of Central Union High School in El Centro, and received his Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University in engineering. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War from December 6, 1967 until he was transferred to the Reserves on December 5, 1969. He worked as an architectural engineer in San Diego until his retirement and move to Indiana in 1992. He worked in the electronics department for the Wal-Mart store in Madison until 2011. He enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include his former wife, Lea Ann Lee of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and close friend, Donna Falls of Madison. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Honor Guard of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion will conduct military services.
