Jill A. Davenport, age 54, of Milton, Kentucky, and the daughter of the late Billy L. and Frieda (McHaffey) Edwards, was born on August 21, 1968, in Shelbyville, Indiana. She was a 1986 graduate of Bloomington North High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Indiana University. On July 1, 2009, she was united in marriage to Eugene Franklin "Gene" Davenport in Brownstown, Indiana. She was the owner of Shelter Insurance in Seymour, Indiana, where she was a faithful agent to her clients for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed boating, traveling, hiking, and being the life of the party. Mrs. Davenport passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her residence in Milton. Her life will be cherished by her children: Tyler Semenuk, of Milton, and Amanda Troville, of Forestville, New York; her sister: Candy Mahin, of Shelbyville; and her brothers: Tim Edwards, of Shelbyville and Steve Edwards, of Bloomington, Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Gene Davenport and her first husband, David Semenuk. Reverend Frank McGee will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Tuesday January 31, 2023 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to follow in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
