Life story Mrs. Jo Ann Waller, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hanover, Indiana. She was born on May 18, 1932 in Midway, Kentucky, the daughter of Houston and Margaret Brown Hall. She graduated from Midway High School and retired in 1996 from the former U.S. Shore Company, Madison, after many years of service. She collected antiques; enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren's sporting events, and vacationing at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Waller, to whom she was married on March 6, 1949; one daughter, Kathy Trader and her husband, Russell of Madison; one son, Mickey Waller and his wife, Paula of Madison; one brother, Jack Hall and his wife, Dorothy of Versailles, Kentucky; five grandchildren: Amy Hoffman and her partner, Keola Calderon of Louisville, Kentucky, Erin Hoffman-Conboy and her husband, Shawn of Madison, Michael Waller and his fianc, Jessica Opalak of Brownsburg, Indiana Kristen Waller and Madalyn Waller, both of Madison; and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Jimmy Wayne Hall in 1974. Private visitation and funeral services were held today at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment following in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Madison Consolidated High School and Shawe Memorial High School Athletic Programs. Checks should be made payable to the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
