Life story Johnnie Goodin, age 79, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born Monday, July 15, 1935 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the son of Edgar and Mary Sizemore. He served in the United States Air Force from October 10, 1955 to October 2, 1959, achieving the rank of Airman Second Class. He retired from the Madison State Hospital in 1999 where he worked as a housekeeper for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include three sons: James Goodin and his wife, Mary of Lexington, John Goodin of Madison, and Mark Goodin and his wife, Tia of Lexington; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Faye and Richard Ramney of Indiana and Stella Mae and Charles Ferren of Indiana; one half sister, Shirley Bichols; nine grandchildren; Jimmy, Joshua, Katie, MacKayla, Charity, Jon, Andrew, Sarah and Robert; and one great grandson, Jace. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Jeanette J. Zearing, whom he married July 10, 1964. The Reverend Frank McGee will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Lytle Funeral Homes, Vail's on Michigan Road, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, Indiana, with burial to follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Lytle Funeral Homes, Vail's on Michigan Road.
