Life story Josephine M. Stephens, age 84, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on June 17, 1930 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Istwan "Steve" and Rose (Sloboda) Faltisko. Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker, and lived in Darien Center, New York most of her life. She moved to Hanover from Buffalo in September 2013. She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alden, New York and enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking. Survivors include one son, William J. Kubik, Jr. of Hanover; one brother and sister-in-law: Stephen and Hilda Faltisko of Buffalo; and two grandsons: Will and Ben Kubik of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William Kubik, Sr. in 1976; her second husband, Joseph Stephens in 2009; and seven brothers and sisters. The Reverend Chris Craig will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Friday, May 22, 2015. Graveside services and interment will be in Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Alden, New York.
