Life story Mrs. June Evelyn Gaylord, 87, of Madison, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. She was born Saturday, June 25, 1927 in Ghent, Kentucky, the daughter of Addison and Pearl (Webster) Birchfield. She was a homemaker and enjoyed walking all around town, puzzles, and her animals. She attended the Salvation Army and volunteered to ring bells for many years. Survivors include four daughters: Patricia Smith and her husband, Ray of Hanover, Marcella Stethen and her husband, Jerry, Evelyn Chadwell and her husband, Roger, and Marilyn Robbins and her husband, Larry, all of Carrollton, KY, a son, Carl William Young of Madison, IN, ; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Pleasant Young: three sons, Dallas Birchfield, Lloyd Birchfield, and Dennis Birchfield; one brother: 17 sisters and three grandchildren. Private graveside services will be conducted on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 US 421 N, Madison, Indiana with burial to follow.
