Karen Sue Jeffrey, age 64, of Milton, Kentucky, and the daughter of Kenneth Ray "Kenny" Watterson and Margaret "Susie" (Montgomery) McCarty, was born on November 27, 1961. On January 8, 1994, she was united in marriage to Bucky Jeffrey in Milton and they enjoyed 32 wonderful years together. For many years, she was an aide at the Jefferson County Health Department. In her spare time, she enjoyed sowing, quilting, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. Karen was the joy of Bucky's life, and they especially enjoyed their trips together to the Great Smoky Mountains. She was a great person to be around and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Jeffrey passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her residence in Milton, with her loving family by her side.

Her life will be cherished by her husband, Bucky Jeffrey of Milton; her children: Stacey Brown and her husband, Stephen of Hanover, Indiana, and Dylan Jeffrey of Madison; her step-children: Chrissie Jeffrey of Campbellsburg, Kentucky and Theresa Jeffrey of La Grange, Kentucky; her sisters: Kim McCarty and her companion, Robbie Ledbetter, Amy Watterson, and Teresa Hopper; her brother: Jimmy Watterson and his companion, Laura Jester; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; her brothers-in-law: Billy Jeffrey and Keith Jeffrey; and her sisters-in-law: Barbara Dunlow, Pauline Lacey, Rose Williamson, Carolyn Richmond, and Janie Noe.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Watterson; her step-father, Kenneth McCarty; her daughter, Susan Crowe; her brother: Kenny Ray Watterson, Jr.; and her brother-in-law: Johnny Jeffrey.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation was chosen and no services will be held.
