Life story Kathy Ann (Kolb) Smith Jowett, age 63, of Lebanon, Ohio, formerly of Madison and Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born August 2, 1955 in Evansville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ralph Edward and Doris Ann (Phelps) Kolb. She spent her life taking care of and serving people as a Teacher's aide at Southwestern Elementary School, a childcare worker at Children of America Daycare and Activities Specialist at Cedarview Nursing Center. On May 12, 2012, she was united in marriage to John Christopher Jowett in Madison, Indiana. She was an avid member of the Hanover Baptist Church when she lived in Hanover. She enjoyed spending her time crafting, cooking, grandchildren, sunday drives, trivia nights and her two cats, Abby Lou and Baby.. She will be sadly missed by her husband, John Christopher Jowett of Lebanon, Ohio; her daughter, Kayla (Smith) Kukahiko and her husband, Daniel of Princeton, Kentucky; her son, Kyle Smith of Louisville, Kentucky; her step-children, David Jowett, Sarah Jowett, Jane Biagtan, and Jennifer Cottini; her sisters: Kimberly (Kolb) Papenfuss of Louisville and Karen (Kolb) Curl, and her husband, Mark of Mason, Ohio; 10 grandchildren: Hadley, Everlee, Braxton, Bentley, Abby, Lexi, Brandon, Ella, Matthew, Joshua. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Kolb and her mother Doris Kolb Murphy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, 423 West Main Street, Downtown Madison, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery.
