Kimberly Carol McAttee, age 53, of Hanover, Indiana, and the daughter of Jerry Faris and Barbara (Stone) Key, was born on January 22, 1971, in Madison, Indiana. She attended Southwestern High School and went on to get an associate's degree from Ivy Tech Community College. On February 7, 1997, she was united in marriage to Mark Charles McAttee in Hanover, and this union was blessed with two children: Mark and Kayla. Throughout most of her life, she was a homemaker and taking care of her children was always her first priority. Kim enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, going on drives by the river, watching crime TV shows, going to concerts, and spending time with her family. She was a very kind, good-hearted woman who would do anything for anyone. Mrs. McAttee passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Her life will be cherished by her husband of 27 years, Mark of Hanover; her children: Mark McAttee, Jr. and Kayla Jane McAttee, both of Hanover; her sisters: Julia Sampson and her husband, Josh of Madison, and Lori Beatty of Kentucky; her brothers: Chris Faris and his fiancee, Kristen Bray of Lexington, Indiana, Jerry Faris, Jr. and his wife, Janet of Kentucky, and Rodney Beatty of Kentucky; her father: Jerry Faris and his wife, Henrietta of Hanover; her nieces and nephews: Katherine (Derek), Hannah, Jayden, Ryan, Becky (Fletcher), and Sarah; her great nephews: Conner, Gabe, and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Weston this fall; her mother-in-law: Janet McAttee of Columbus, Indiana; her brother-in-law: Jim McAttee of Columbus; and her best friend: Michelle Stephens of Madison. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Key, and her grandparents. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Lytle Welty Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison.
