Obituary

Life story Kurt moved on from this world late Friday night surrounded by his loving wife and children. He remained strong and capable up until his last week with us. His sharp wits never failed. He will be greatly missed and should be celebrated. Kurt loved the good life and lived it, too. He enjoyed fine wines, luxury cars and manicured golf courses. To this day, he has never been seen in sweatpants. Kurt had a great appreciation of beauty in all its forms. Anything well put together - architecture, landscapes, women - Kurt noticed, and made sure you did, too. His encyclopedic knowledge of flowers and trees rivaled most botanists, and overwhelmed anyone who had the pleasure of walking through a botanical garden with him. Kurt loved to travel and did so throughout his life. He has been to almost every state in the country, and every country he wanted to visit. The ones he missed, he could care less about. Kurt had no bucket list. He did what he wanted. He wasted little time with doubt and regret. He was too focused on now and tomorrow to wallow in the past. Kurt was bold, proud and opinionated, but possessed a magnetic charm. Dogs and other animals loved him instantly. Friends and family loved him endlessly. He will always be adored by those of us left behind - Valerie, his beautiful loving wife of almost 30 years, and a big, heart-broken family. Children Elizabeth, Matt and Tracee, Kort and Jen, and Mike and Tabi. Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren Anibel, Jake, Alex, Madeline, Bowman, Bronson, Kace and Ryla. Kurt did not want a funeral. (He thought they were "depressing.") He wanted us all to get together and celebrate his life with love and laughter.
