Life story Mr. Larry J. "Joey" Claghorn, II, age 44, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his residence. Born October 3, 1968 in Madison, he was the son of Larry J., Sr. and Annamary Dryden Claghorn. Mr. Claghorn was a 1987 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School, where he was a Booster Club member and organized two Pep Club reunions and one Miss Cub recognition program. He was also an avid Thespian. He was a graduate of Indiana Business College and graduated in 1995 from Indiana University with a Bachelor's degree in secondary education. He organized The Madison Players before moving to Hollywood, California where he was a free-lance actor, having worked in movies and television, and appearing in such projects as Spiderman III and Six Feet Under, as well as various television commercials. He later returned to Madison to live. Survivors include his father and step-mother: Larry J., Sr. and Annabelle Claghorn, Madison; one brother and sister-in-law, James Claghorn and his wife, Dawn of Noblesville, Indiana; two-step-sisters: Anita Bunch of Madison, and Tina Linker and her husband, Jason of Fort Wayne, Indiana; maternal grandmother, Martha Dryden Carlock, Madison; three nieces: Madison and Mary Francis Claghorn and Taylor Schnebelt; four nephews: Mike and Ryan Scroggins, Timmy Bunch and Tyler Schnebelt; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother on January 24, 1971; maternal grandfather, Elmer Dryden; paternal grandparents, Nathan and Bertha Claghorn; one step-brother, Tim Bunch in 1992; and two cousins: Jacob Marshall and Kevin Claghorn. Mr. Robby King will conduct memorial services at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2012 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. Friends and family may call from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the North Madison Christian Church Building Fund or the American Diabetes Association. Contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
