Life story Larry Dale McCollum, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born November 3, 1928 in Wisdom, Missouri, he was the son of Arthur Francis and Norma Jo (Houk) McCollum. Mr. McCollum served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired minister. Survivors include one daughter, Leah VanWashenova of Steubenville, Ohio; two sons: Luke McCollum and Abner McCollum, both of Madison; one sister, Marion Brown of Saint Louis, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, the former Geraldine Geary on September 20, 2007. Private family graveside services were held Monday, November 9, 2015 at Fairmount Cemetery, Madison. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lions Eye Bank.
