Larry Michael "Mike" Morris, age 54, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of Larry Lee and Janice Lane "Jan" (Bickers) Morris, was born July 9, 1970, in Kentucky. He was a 1989 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and resided in Madison all of his life. Throughout the years, he worked at the Pines Restaurant, the Feed Mill in downtown Madison, Robus Leather, Lowe's Distribution Center, and was currently working as a line operator at Grote Industries. Mike was a former member of the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department and Manville Christian Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins, deer hunting with his sons, and spending time with his grandchildren. No one could make him smile quite like his grandkids. Mr. Morris passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2024 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. His life will be cherished by sons: Bradley Morris and his wife, Markanda Baugh of Greenfield, Indiana, and Brent Morris and his wife, Leah of New Castle, Indiana; his grandchildren: Maverick and Charlotte Morris; his mother: Jan Morris of Madison; his brother: Greg Morris and his wife, Tracy of Madison; his uncle: Tom Bickers of Madison; his aunt, Cathy Wood of Milton, Kentucky; and his niece, Paige Morris of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Lee Morris who passed away on September 28, 2020 and his brother, David Scott Morris. Brother Darin Ayler will conduct memorial services at 6:30 PM Monday, December 16, 2024 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison. Friends and family may gather at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 4:30 PM until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family invites individuals to bring a fishing lure. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
