Life story LaRue Hamblin Eversole Davis, age 78, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born February 18, 1932 in Krypton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Taylor and Lydia Mullins Hamblin. Mrs. Davis was a graduate of Buckhorn High School in Krypton, and a 1950 graduate of the Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, Kentucky. She taught all grades in a one room school house from 1950-1952 at the Meadow Branch School in Perry County, Kentucky, and then the fifth grade from 1952-1957 in Deputy, Indiana. She retired from Reliance Electric Company in 1994 after thirty-one years of service. Mrs. Davis was a founding member of Calvary Baptist Church in Madison, and currently a member of Mount Byrd Christian Church in Milton, Kentucky. Mrs. Davis is survived by two daughters: Libby Eversole Reeg of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Millie Eversole Lyons and her husband, Jerry of Madison; one son, Joe Eversole and his wife, Bonnie of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters: Louise Hurt of Lexington, Kentucky and Carlee Stidham of Hazard, Kentucky; four brothers: James Hamblin of Hazard, Kentucky, Dishman Hamblin of Sparta, Tennessee, George Hamblin of Xenia, Ohio and Coy Hamblin of Lexington, Kentucky; nine grandchildren: Kimberly Eversole Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio, Taylor Eversole of Austin, Indiana, Rachel Reeg of Madison, Jacob Reeg of Phoenix, Arizona, Sammy Eversole of Evansville, Indiana, Mandy Lyons of Madison, Caleb Eversole, Miranda Eversole, and Keiron Eversole, all of Huntsville, Alabama; and one great grandson, Zander Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Davis on November 27, 2004, and to whom she was married on July 17, 1994; three sisters: Grace Turner, Dessie Postlewaite, and Sally Bailey; and one brother, Mark Hamblin. Funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend Aaron Snelling at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, February 25, 2010 and from 10 to 11 AM Friday.
