Life story Laura M. Segrest, age 51, of Madison, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 25, 1958 in Madison, the daughter of Thomas C., Jr. and Betty Jean Smith Eden. Ms. Segrest owned and operated a private home cleaning business for many years, as well as having worked for the former Cafe Camille and as a nursing home caregiver. She was a member of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion, Madison. Survivors include two sons: Christopher Anglin of Berea, Kentucky and Bobby Kettle of Rhode Island; one daughter: Tonya Burton of Charlotte, North Carolina; two brothers: Teddy Eden of Madison and Donnie Eden of Jeffersonville, Indiana; seven sisters: Tammie Riddell, Wanda Finney, and Charla Bear, all of Madison, Rosie Bryson of Mississippi, Viola Stucker of Silsby, Texas, Leta Eden of Chelsea, Indiana and Penny Beach of Warsaw, Kentucky; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas C. Eden, Jr. in 2003; her mother, Betty Imel in 1989; three brothers: David Stucker in 1977, Roger Stucker in 2002 and Tony Eden in 2009; and one niece, Shawnta Wynn in 2006. Major David L. Biggs, pastor of the Madison Salvation Army, will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in Hibernia Cemetery, Clark County, Indiana. Friends and family may call form 9:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
