Life story LaVonne Kaye Caldwell Cable entered this life on May 22, 1949, the daughter of Karl and Lorraine Caldwell of Vernal, Utah. She grew up in Utah and always loved the area. She attended Weber State University in Utah and lived for a time in California where she met her husband, John David. They began their family there before moving to Indiana and living in the Madison area where LaVonne home-schooled their five children. Studying the Bible, practicing music, pursuing education, and working with horses were her lifelong passions. She was an active member of River Valley Community Church. Her love for Christ was first in her life, followed by her love for her family. LaVonne passed from this life on Friday, September 20, 2013 and was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Gary Caldwell. LaVonne is survived by the family she loved: her husband, John Cable, and her children, Penelope and Patrick McCormick of Ekron, KY, Christian and Jenny Cable of Madison, IN, Tasia and Keith Chilton of Madison, IN, India Cable of Lexington, KY, Mercy and Clay Cobb of Lexington, KY, and her grandchildren Jubilee Burnham, Xandria Cable, Landon Bible, and David Chilton. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 28, at First Baptist Church beginning at 3 o'clock. The service will be led by Pastor Randy Crutchfield and Pastor Bill Maginn. Immediately following the service, friends may gather with the family at the church from 3:45 until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LaVonne Cable Scholarship Fund, which will benefit a Christ-centered equestrian and music therapy center for people whose lives have been affected by sexual or physical abuse. Checks can be made payable to the Lytle Funeral Chapel. Contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of LaVonne K.
