Obituary

Life story Linda Kay Rusk, age 69, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at her residence. Born March 10, 1943 in Madison, she was the daughter of Arthur "Bridget" and Mary Loretta (Amos) Rusk. Miss Rusk attended Madison Consolidated Schools and lived in Madison all of her life. She had been employed as a waitress at the Clifty Inn and Restaurant, clerk for the former Perry and Dunbar Drug Store, and retired on July 1, 2010 after twelve years working for the King's Daughters' Hospital. She was a life member and very active at the West Madison United Methodist Church, having served on many committees and held many offices. She was an avid golfer, IU Hoosiers Basketball fan, watcher of ladies and men's golf on television, loved all sports, and enjoyed decorating for the seasons inside and outside of her home. She was a member of the Sunrise Golf Ladies League. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and "Bert" Rusk of Madison; one niece and her husband, Becky and Dean Wentworth of Madison; one great-niece and her husband, Kira and Kyle Martin of Madison; one great-nephew, Blair Shadday of Fishers, Indiana; two step-great-nephews: Justin Wentworth and his wife, Betania of Madison, and Brandon Wentworth and his wife, Ashtin of Milton, Kentucky; one aunt, Bea Rusk of Madison; and three great-great nieces and nephews: Jenna, Julie and Luke Martin, and Braxton and Catalee Wentworth. She was preceded in death by her parents. The Reverend David Leland will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 13 and from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the West Madison United Methodist Church.
