Obituary

Life story Catherine Lucille Stucker, 78, of Largo, FL., formerly of Madison, IN., died on Thursday evening, March 20, 2008 at the Comprehensive Care Center in Clearwater, FL. She was born on April 28, 1929 in Jefferson County, IN., the daughter of the late Harry Robinson Berry and Florence (Sipe) Berry. She was a graduate of the old Saluda High School in the Saluda Bottoms near Hanover, IN. While living in Madison she was a Cafeteria Cook at the E.O. Muncie Elementary School in Madison, IN. After moving to Florida during the late 1970's, her and her husband Bill, purchased a Convenient Food Mart in Largo, FL., later changing the name to the Rainbow Food Mart, they owned the store up until the late 1990's. Her memberships included the Calvary Baptist Church of Clearwater FL., and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Madison, IN. She was a member of the Eastern Star # 530 in Madison, IN., and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She will be missed by her husband of over sixty years; William Allen "Bill" Stucker of Largo, FL., a daughter; Jolene Annette White and her husband Brian of Hanover, IN., two sons; Robert Allen Stucker and his wife Cathy of Largo, FL., and Randall Lee "Randy" Stucker and his wife Patsy of Clearwater, FL., a daughter in-law; Teresa Stucker of Madison, IN., eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son; Jerry W. Stucker on September 14, 2007. The Reverend Wayne Mahoney will conduct funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel in Madison, IN., and from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. The Order of the Eastern Star #534, Madison, IN., will hold special services at 6:30 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760 or the Indiana School for the Deaf, 1200 East 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46205. Mrs. Stucker's grandson, Brent, of the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton, is in charge of the local arrangements.
