Life story Lucy Grace Price, 91, of Madison, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Beehive Homes Assisted Living in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born Friday, November 16, 1923 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the daughter of Richard and Goldie (Kidwell) Jeffries. She was a 1941 graduate of the former North Madison High School. After nearly thirty years of service, she retired from Eggleston Elementary School as a para-professional. She volunteered at King's Daughters' Hospital for many years, was a huge IU fan, avid gardener, accomplished seamstress and enjoyed embroidery. She was a member of the North Madison Christian Church, Homemaker's Club and Euchre Club. Survivors include one son, John Price and his wife, Nancy of Midland, Michigan; two daughters: Judy Fewell and her husband, Mike of Enon, Ohio, and Jeanie Gossom of Sellersburg, Indiana; one sister-in-law, Alice Price of Madison; one brother-in-law, Vince Stengel of Jeffersonville, Indiana; six grandchildren: Cindy Sharp, Debbie Fewell, Jonathan Gossom, Laura Payton, Sarah Gossom, and Robbie Price; seven great-grandchildren: Lillie, Jack Henry, Carson Christopher, Maddie, Emma, Amelia and Graham; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor M. Price, whom she married October 18, 1941 and who passed away April 10, 1992; three brothers: Carl Jeffries, Jack Jeffries, and Gayle Jeffries; an infant brother, Donald Jeffries; an infant sister, Dixie Jo Jeffries; and her faithful companions, Annie and Katie. The Reverend Frank McGee will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Thursday February 5, 2015 at Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Thursday.
