Life story Mrs. Margaret Ruth "Ruthie" Taylor, age 66, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born October 17, 1947 in Vevay, Indiana, the daughter of James and Edith (Montanye) Sides. Mrs. Taylor was a 1967 graduate of Switzerland County High School and a former resident of Marysville, Ohio. Her interests included fishing, cooking and yard work. Survivors include her husband, Mellwood Taylor, to whom she was married on December 9, 1967; one daughter, Tona Porter of Deputy, Indiana; four sisters: Mary Sides, Fay Snyder and Sue Turner, all of Vevay, and Tootie Ford of Lebanon, Ohio; one brother, John Sides of Versailes, Indiana; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mell Lee Taylor on May 19, 2005; two sisters: Sarah Polk and Lou Arnold; and two brothers: Donny and Freddy Sides. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 6, 2014 at Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Lexington, Indiana cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 9 to 11 AM Friday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Ruthie Taylor Memorial Fund.
