Life story Margie Evelyene Ross, 89, of Madison, Indiana, formerly of Echols, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Hickory Creek at Madison. She was born February 2, 1925 in Echols, Kentucky to the late Tom and Maggie Key. She was a member of Echols General Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and involvement in her church group, The Ladies' Prayer and Action Group. In her later years, she enjoyed singing. Her favorite song was "What a Day That Will Be." She was very kind to others and told most that she met that she loved them. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Osburn D. Ross, her brothers, Everett Key, Herbert Key, and William Key, and her sister, LouAnna Saling. Survivors include two sons, Larry Ross and wife, Jenny of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Phillip Ross and wife, Nancy of Madison, Indiana, one daughter, Joyce Hinton and husband, Gary of Rockport, Indiana, one brother, Willard Key of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, one sister, Brenda Scott of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.CST Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Michael Hamby, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Madison, Indiana officiating. Burial will be in Pond Run Cemetery in Echols, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. CST Tuesday and 9 A.M. CST until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
