Life story Marie D. Edwards, age 57, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born on November 1, 1951 in Madison, the daughter of James W., Sr. and Ruby Jean Jones Edwards. Ms. Edwards was a 1969 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She had worked as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician for the King's Daughters' Hospital, a medic for the former Jefferson Proving Grounds, and a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Waters of Rising Sun for eighteen years. Her memberships included the American Legion Auxiliary for many years, and the Order of Eastern Star, Hanover Chapter #525. She enjoyed painting, Folk Art and reading. Survivors include two daughters: Jeri Renee' (Scroggins) Roeseler of Madison, and Christina (Scroggins) of Moundsville, West Virginia; three sisters: Pam Edwards of Madison, Mary Lynn Childress of Seymour, Indiana, and Lisa Baker of Cloverdale, Indiana; one brother, James W. Edwards, Jr. of Madison; her husband, Kenneth Ruth of Greendale, Indiana; several step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Edwards, Sr. on November 29, 1998; and her mother, Ruby Jean Edwards on May 15, 2008. The Reverend Mike Johnson will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Moffett Cemetery, Milton, Kentucky.
