Life story Mr. Mark A. Branham, age 46, of Deputy, Indiana, passed away at 10:08 AM on Thursday October 26, 2006 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Born September 18, 1960 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Charlie Lee and Mary Louise (Jenkins) Housefield. He married the former Sherry Zirkelback on September 9, 2006 at the Blair Farm in Deputy. Mr. Branham attended Madison Consolidated High School, and served in the United States Army in Korea. He was a truck driver, having just received his Commercial Driver's License just weeks before his illness debilitated him. He also managed the Lakeside Camping in Deputy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, catfish tournaments, four-wheeling, and playing poker with his buddies. Survivors include his wife and best friend, Sherry; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Chad Owens of Deputy; three step-sons: Christopher, Joe and Billy Baker, all of Deputy; his father, Charlie Lee of Madison; his step-father, Clarence "Junior" Housefield of Hanover; four sisters: Nancy J. Keller and her husband, Terry of Deputy; Tami Kay Blair and her husband, Charles of Deputy; Lisa A. Sharpe of Birmingham, Alabama; and Norma Kent of Vevay, Indiana; two grandchildren, Blake and Bailey Owens; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Keith Thomas of Deputy; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends. Preceding him in death are his mother, who died April 11, 1998, and one brother-in-law, David A. Zirkelback preceded him in death. The Reverend Ron Lee will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Bayless Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 PM Monday and after 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. The Honor Guard of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion, will conduct military graveside services at the cemetery.
