Life story Mrs. Martha Jean (Manaugh) Colegrove, age 77, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. Born October 10, 1932 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of C. O. "Poodle" and Flora (Matthews) Manaugh. Mrs. Colegrove retired from the Madison Consolidated High School as the assistant librarian. She graduated from Madison High school in 1950 and went to Hanover College from 1950-1951, where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She was also a member of the Madison Elks Lodge and loved to read and watch all types of sporting events. She will be remembered as a loving mother and good friend, along with her commitment to family and friends. She will always be remembered and her passion for life will truly be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy D. Colegrove; and a sister, Annabelle Gaines. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Brock of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons: Jimmy Colegrove, Jr. of Tempe, Arizona and Charles Colegrove of Madison; five grandchildren: Allison Brock Thompson, Erin Brock, Amy Smith, Chris Bracy and Rob Bracy; seven great-grandchildren: Brendon Smith, Shelby DeShong, Linus Middleton, Brock Thompson, Hunter Bracy, Brandon Bracy, and Tyler Bracy. The funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 10 AM to 11AM Wednesday.
