Life story Martha E. Preston, age 74, of Madison, Ind., died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky. She was born February 14, 1935, in Kentucky, the daughter of Jesse Griffin and Marie (Buchanan) Griffin. She was a homemaker, a member of New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed walking. Survivors include her five daughters: Arlene Preston of New Castle, Ky., Virginia Lane Preston of New Castle, Ky. Patricia Diane Preston of Madison, Ind., Mary Preston of Hanover, Ind., and Martha May Preston; her sister, Virginia Zosel of Columbia, S.C.; and several grandchildren, including Ashley Preston and Tyler Preston. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Preston; her son, Donnie Ray Preston; her sister, Frieda Mae Griffin; and a great-granddaughter, Angel Nicole Preston. Reverend Mike LaFountain will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 3, 2009 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
