Obituary

Life story Mary Zelda Adams, age 78, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008 at her son's residence in Milton. She was born March 18, 1930 in Louisville. Kentucky, the daughter of Hughie V. and Lois Irene Simmons Blanton. Mrs. Adams graduated form Shawnee High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a sales representative for Longaberger Basket Company for over twenty years. She loved to entertain everyone by singing, dancing, cake decorating and cooking a great meal at every opportunity! Shopping was a great past time, as was playing cards with wonderful friends who didn't mind getting beaten every time. She had a screen part in the motion picture "Madison." In her younger years she sang commercials at a Louisville radio station. She had a wonderful life with her children and grandchildren, and loved her family, friends, baskets and hats. She was always loving, always caring, always a wonderful inspiration, and a beautiful lady to all who knew her. Her main focus as one of Jehovah's Witnesses was the preaching of God's Kingdom. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert L. and Sallie Adams and Raymond L. and Patricia Adams, all of Madison, and Ronald L. and Susan Adams of Milton, Kentucky; two daughters: Juanita K. Humphrey of Madison, and Jennifer K. Jackson, and her husband, John, of Kent, Indiana; two sisters: Jacqueline Schock of Louisville, Kentucky and Joy McGavic of Horse Cave, Kentucky; one brother, William V. Blanton of Louisville, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren: Donald, Danielle, Bobby, China, Christen, Diana, Regina, Keneta, Amber, Lisa, Tracy, Lori, Tushauny, Trenton and Dallas; and thirty-four great grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Madison. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mary Zelda Adams Memorial, in care of Lytle Funeral Chapel. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at Kingdom Hall.
