Life story Mary Jo Copeland, age 80, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. Born July 12, 1936 in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William and Beulah Mae Clemons Yocum. She graduated from Eagle Hollow High School. On June 22, 1956, she was married to Charles Alan Copeland. She was a homemaker and had worked at Hanover College as a cook. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her husband. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Terry Copeland of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; her son, Brian Copeland of Lexington, Indiana; her sisters, Wanda Burris of Hanover, Indiana and Pearl Konkle of Hilliard, Ohio; her brothers, Paul Yocum of Madison, Norman Yocum of Patriot, Indiana; Edwin "Duke" Yocum of Hanover, Denny Yocum of Hanover; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter expected in January. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Barry Copeland and Timothy Copeland; brothers, Billy Yocum and Kenneth Yocum; and her nephew, Derrick Yocum. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2016 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 2:00 PM until time of service on Friday, December 2, 2016.
