Life story Mary Margaret Dean, age 59, of Madison, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 6, 1949 in Madison, the daughter of Carl Melvin and Mary America Ashby Woodfill. Mrs. Dean was a 1967 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School, and lived in Madison all of her life except the times she joined her husband when he was stationed around the world while in the United States Air Force. She was employed by the former US Shoe Corporation in Madison until ill health caused her to retire. Mrs. Dean enjoyed reading, bingo, board games, and scratch off tickets. She loved to bake and her family especially loved her "famous" yeast rolls. Survivors include her husband, Ralph C. Dean, Sr., to whom she was married on November 11, 1967 in Madison; three daughters: Venus Perry of Milton, Kentucky, Tammy McCutchen of Madison, and Sonya Dean of Lebanon, Kentucky; one son, Ralph C. Dean, Jr. of Hanover; her mother, Mary America Woodfill of Madison; two sisters: Judy E. Bellamy of Deputy, Indiana and Cindy L. Cole of Madison; three brothers: A. Michael Woodfill, Carl D. Woodfill, and Dennis K. Woodfill, all of Madison; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Melvin Woodfill on December 16, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend Gary Roberts at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 and from 10 to 11 AM Thursday.
