Life story Mrs. Mary G. Dunn, age 95, of Madison, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. She was born on November 19, 1913 in Carroll County, Kentucky, the daughter of John B. and Emma Lloyd Hamilton. Mrs. Dunn was a farmer and a cook for the Crow's Nest Restaurant and the IKE power plant in Madison. She was a member the Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton, Kentucky, enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading her Bible and watching Walnut Street Baptist Church services on TV on Sunday. Survivors include two daughters, Edith Warren and her husband, Bob of Carrollton, and Donna Brawner of Madison; three sons: J.C. Dunn and his wife, Lucille, of Lexington, Indiana, Cecil Dunn and his wife, Dixie of Madison, and Arthur Ray Dunn and his wife, Joe of Madison; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray V. Dunn, who passed away on February 2, 1992, and to whom she was married on January 5, 1936 in Carrollton; seven brothers; one sister; and one son-in-law, Herman Brawner. Pastor Joe Kindoll will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday and from 10 to 11 AM Thursday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children or the Salvation Army. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
