Obituary

Life story Mary Alice Howley, age 67, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born on June 11, 1941 in Madison, the daughter of Frederick and Velma Roberts Howley. Miss Howley was a graduate of Saint Michael's Grade School and Shawe Memorial High School. She retired from the King's Daughters' Hospital after working for many years in the laundry department. Her memberships included the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and was a Cincinnati Reds fan and an Indiana University fan. She also had previously enjoyed sitting by the Ohio River passing time. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles and Wanda Howley of Madison, and Tom and Sandy Howley of Boggstown, Indiana; three nephews: David, Kevin and Jerry Howley; and one niece, Lynn Howley. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by The Reverend John Meyer at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Downtown Madison, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 and from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
