Life story Mrs. Mary Carroll Perry, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at her residence. Born August 9, 1931 in Bedford, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Frank Carroll and Mary Beatrice (Neal) Bell. She was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Matthew Perry in 1965. Mrs. Perry graduated from Trimble County High School in Bedford in 1949 and from the former Bryan Stratton Business College in Louisville. She was married to Douglas Perry on December 1, 1950, moved to downtown Madison in 1952, and to their present home on the hilltop in 1984. She was a homemaker, and formerly worked in the gift shop at the J.F.D. Lanier State Memorial, as a receptionist for Dr. James Hurt and the Trimble Democrat Banner newspaper. She was a member of Alpha Chapter 361, Order of Eastern Star in Bedford, Kentucky, and a Girl Scout leader. She was also a member of the Bedford Christian Church in Bedford, Kentucky. Survivors include her husband, Douglas; three daughters and sons-in-law: Nancy and Clint Bear, Kathy and Darrell Auxier, and Ann and Greg Motenko, all of Madison; two sons and daughters-in-law: Stanley and Marlene Perry of Edgewater, Florida, and J.D. and Donna Perry of Fishers, Indiana; one sister and brother-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Lail of Bristol, Indiana, and one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and June Lynn Bell of Warsaw, Ketnucky; eight grandchildren: Christi Burnett, Sarah Gordon, Caroline Auxier, Mike Haven, Jon Motenko, Matthew Perry, Justin Motenko and Jacob Perry; and three great grandchildren: Zach Burnett, Zane Gordon and Sophie Haven. The Reverend Kathy Allen will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2006 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, March 31, 2006 and from 10 AM until service time on Saturday.
