Life story Mary Louise Shipley Wagner, age 93, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. She was on April 9, 1914 in Madison, the daughter of Peter Ike and Emma Breitenbach Hoagland. Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Women's Ministry of the Salvation Army, and a former member of the Women of the Moose and the Jefferson County Democrat Women's Club. Survivors include two daughters: Marjorie Toomey of Madison, and Martha Royce and her husband, Jim, of Madison; two sons: Richard "Buck" Shipley and his wife, Judy, of Vero Beach, Florida, and Charles "Butch" Shipley and his wife, Joyce of Louisville, Kentucky; ten grandchildren: Karen Brown of Bloomington, Illinois, Mark Shipley of Dunedin, Florida, Linda Manning of Madison, Cam Shipley and Sandy Shipley, both of Louisville, Kentucky, Beth McKinney of Madison, Steven Royce of Terre Haute, Indiana, Richard Toomey and Merritt Toomey, both of Madison, and Shawn Toomey, New Castle. Pennsyvalnia; twenty-three great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Shipley in August 1973, and her second husband, Rolles Wagner in February 1997; one son, James Michael Shipley in 1942; four brothers: Louis Hoagland, Albert Hoagland, Bernard Hoagland, and Norbert Hoagland; one granddaughter, Peggy L. Royce Crank on May 11, 2007; and one son-in-law, Joseph Toomey. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
