Life story Matias Martinez Trejo, age 79, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Thomas Martinez and Maria Ercanacion Trejo, was born on February 24, 1941, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He was united in marriage to the former Rosa Andable Garcia. He was a hard worker on the farm and was of the Catholic faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting in Mexico and caring for his two dogs. Mr. Martinez Trejo passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. His life will be cherished by his son: Francisco Roman Martinez of Madison; his daughter: Rosalva Martinez of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren including Alex Martinez and Antonio Martinez; his nephews: Raymundo Martinez and Rogelio Martinez and his wife, Amanda, all of San Antonio, Texas and extended family in the United States and Mexico. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa who passed away on September 19, 1994, and three brothers. Reverend Christopher Craig will conduct funeral services at 7:00 PM Saturday January 9, 2021 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop.
