Life story Mrs. May B. (Bladen) Truesdell, age 106, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Jennings Healthcare in North Vernon, Indiana. She was born on May 30, 1900 in Ethridge, Kentucky, the daughter of James and Mary (Duvall) Bladen. Mrs. Truesdell was employed for several years as a store clerk for the Senior Citizen and Craft Shop. She was a 50 year member of the La Belle Riviere Rebekah Lodge #624, a lifetime member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church, and a member of the Madison First Church of God. Survivors include two granddaughters, Deni Duffit of Bulterville and Sherri Cole of Madison; a grandson, Dennis Truesdell of Madison; six great grandchildren, Toni Marie Rowlett, Abigail Lee Cole, Zarah May Duffitt, Zane Allen Duffitt, Chelsea Lynn Truesdell and Shay Christian Truesdell; three great great grandchildren, Kalyn Elizabeth, Olivia Nichelle and Isabelle Marie Rowlett; and 3 nieces and nephews, whom she raised and loved as her own: Naomi Hutsell of Paynesville, Marie Slatton of Harwood, Texas and Tim Truesdell of North Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Truesdell; son, Dennis Truesdell; brother, Lawrence Bladen; sister, Florence Webster; grandson, Howard Truesdell; great great granddaughter, Bethany Nicole Rowlett; and one nephew, who she raised and loved as her own, Fred Truesdell.. The Reverend Chuck Justice will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2006 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church in New Washington, Indiana with interment to follow in the New Prospect Cemetery in Hanover. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, December 28, 2006 and from 11 to 1 PM on Friday at the church. The Rebecca Lodge #624 will hold lodge memorial services Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
