Life story Maysel Marie Queen, age 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 in Port Charlotte. She was born February 27, 1929 in Gilmer, West Virginia, the daughter of Ray and Zella (James) Sullivan. She was a former resident of Madison and Milton, Kentucky, and had owned and operated several businesses, including Queen's Plaza in Milton, and the Nancy Lee and Little Folks Shop in Madison. She was also a retired bookkeeper, accountant and tax preparer. She also held her license in real estate. She was currently a member of the Women of the Moose in Madison, and a former member of the Madison Merchants Association, the Better Business Bureau, the Business and Professional Women's Association and was on the board of director's for LifeSpring in Kentucky. She enjoyed boating, traveling, cruises and being with family, friends and neighbors. Survivors include two daughters: Carolyn Baldwin of Sarasota, Florida and Yvonne Vanosdol of Wabash, Indiana; two sons: Samuel P. Rodgers, Jr. of Frankfort, Kentucky and Gary T. Queen of Poinciana, Florida; three step-daughters: Barbara A. Hardy of Petersburg, Virginia, Catherine J. Bassett of Phoenix, Arizona and Joanna Burgess of Madison; one step-son, Robert S. Queen of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers: Robert Sullivan of Glouster, Ohio, and Kenneth Sullivan of Bidwell, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Robert L. Queen, Everett Kelley and Ray Cavett; one sister, Jean Hough; two brothers: Chesley "Lucky" Sullivan and Alva Sullivan; and a grandson, Arthur L. Baldwin, II. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
