Michael
Maloney
May 1, 1962 – January 25, 2025
Michael Maloney, age 62, of Madison, Indiana, the son of the late James and Lavaughn (Gambrell) Maloney, was born on May 1, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a graduate of Aiken High School in Cincinnati. For eighteen years, he worked in maintenance for Trilogy Health Services at various facilities, having most recently served as the Director of Plant Operations at Thornton Terrace Health Campus. However, Michael was so much more than a maintenance man to the residents. He loved interacting with the residents and making them laugh. Michael enjoyed planning and driving the bus for many of their outings as well. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his guitar, jamming with friends, listening to music at local venues, going fishing, and kayaking. Michael was a very humble, kind, and soft-spoken man who will be missed by many. Mr. Maloney passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. His life will be cherished by his son: Michael Maloney, of Cincinnati; his granddaughter, Sophie; his brothers and sisters: Jim Maloney and his wife, Ani of Florida, George Maloney and his wife, Joanne of Indiana, Patricia Carr of Indiana, Mary Brown and her husband, Ted of Indiana, Tom Maloney and his wife, Kathy of Ohio, Lavonne "Bonnie" Carr and her husband, Ralph of Indiana, Eileen Bankes and her husband, Bill of Ohio, and John Maloney of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Tonia Maloney; and twin children who passed at birth, Michael and Marshal Maloney. Cremation was chosen and no services will be held at this time. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Activities Department at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
