Life story Mrs. Mildred L. Stucker, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1926 in Clark County, Indiana, the daughter of Lidge and Sylvia (Henderson) Griffin. Mrs. Stucker retired in 1999 from the J. Graham Brown Campus Center at Hanover College, after several years as a cook in the dietary department. She was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Paynesville, and was an excellent seamstress. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Harley and Brenda Stucker of Hanover; one sister, Juanita Bott of Columbus, Ohio; two grandsons: David Stucker and Michael Stucker and his wife, Michelle, all of Madison; three great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Cory and Nicole Stucker; one niece, Lou Anne Staley and her husband, Paul, of New Market, Indiana; and one nephew, Ray Bott of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Stucker on April 18, 2011, and to whom she was married on May 29, 1943 in Madison; and one sister, Anne Harbin. The Reverend Charlotte Nash will conduct funeral services on at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Mount Zion Cemetery. Friends and family may call at Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Friday. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mount Zion United Methodist Church.
