Life story Nancy K. Matthews, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born August 7, 1941, she was the daughter of Charles Robert and Allie Mae (Henderson) Holloway. She moved to Arkansas in 1994, where she worked as a beautician and as a security officer for Shaw Constructors in Magnolia. She retired in 2008 and moved back to Madison. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, playing with her nieces and nephews, and her dog, Ginger. She is survived by her son, Daniel Long and his wife, Faye of Madison; two sisters: Sheila Scott and her husband, Ronald of Madison, and Vickie Smith of Madison; a step brother, Benny Junior Adams, and several nieces and nephews: Shelley Morrison, Cheryl Everage (Jeremy), Kelly Smith, Elizabeth, Tyler, and Brooke. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Edward Matthews on September 17, 2008; brother, Charles Elbert Holloway; and her former husband, Robert Keith Long in 2007. A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 PM Saturday February 18, 2016 at the Main Street Chapel of Lytle Funeral Homes.
