Life story Mr. Noble L. "Bud" Evans, age 69, of Madison, Indiana passed away at 10:24 A.M. on Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born January 15, 1935 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Noble and Viola (McNeal) Evans. His father preceded him in death in 1968 and his mother in 1991. Mr. Evans graduated from Hanover College with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree from Indiana University. He retired from teaching at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis where he taught English. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Madison, a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and enjoyed reading and politics. Mr. Evans is survived by a sister, Ella Jean Hassfurder of Madison; a brother, John "JT" Evans of Madison; four nieces, Mary Greves of Madison, Jean Hudson of Knoxville, Tennessee, Natalie Evans of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Amanda Evans of Louisville, Kentucky; three nephews, Chris Hassfurder of Madison, John Hudson of Atlanta, and John Evans, III of Clearwater, Florida; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Virginia Hudson and a brother, William "Bill" Evans. The Reverend Randy Crutchfield will conduct funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Springdale Cemetery. Friends and family may gather from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel.
