Life story Norma Jean Ayler, age 92, of Madison, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at her daughters home in Madison. She was born Thursday, March 29, 1923 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Alice Schnabel Adams. She was a graduate of Central High School, where she was a cheerleader along with her sisters. For several years, she was a cook at the Madison Junior High School and then went to work for the former Reliance Electric for many years. She enjoyed bowling earlier in life and loved to cook. She would cook for anybody and everybody. She was a member of the Manville Christian Church, and the Homemakers Club. Survivors include two daughters: Madeline Carroll Richardville and her husband, James of China, Indiana and Alice Cyrus and her husband, Michael of Madison; three sons: Fred Ayler and his wife, Sondra of Madison, George Ayler and his wife, Debbie of Madison, and Joe Dale Ayler and his wife, Pondra of Madison; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a daughter in law, Wanda Ayler of Canaan; a son in law, David Smith of Madison and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph E. Ayler, whom she married Sunday, October 12, 1941 and who passed December 26, 1998; a daughter, Diana Smith on January 26, 2014; a son, Bill Ayler on August 28, 2013, two sisters, Mary Bowman and Dorothy Carrigan; and a brother, Bill Adams, The funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Lytle Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel Friday, May 29, 2015 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until time of service on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
