Life story Ova Morella France, age 86, of Diamond, Ohio, formerly of Madison, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 at her residence in Diamond. She was born November 6, 1921, in Sulpher Springs, West Virginia, the daughter of Charles and Lura (Hedrick) Hicks whom preceded her in death. Ova married the love of her life, Arthur W. France on June 1, 1946 and they made their home in Madison. Mrs. France was a homemaker, and had worked for Reliance as an inspector and she attended the Rykers Ridge Baptist Church, where she was very involved in the church activities. After moving to Diamond to live with her sister in law, Nellie Hicks, she started attending the Baptist Bible Church. Mrs. France is survived by her sisters: Bonnie Sutton of Waynesville, NC, Devota Shumate of Madison, and Joy Foster of Newton Falls; her brother and sister in law, Orlie and Uthalee Hicks of Lake Milton, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 21, 1997; her daughter, Glenda France; three sisters and six brothers. The Reverend Jason Thompson will conduct graveside funeral services at 10:30 AM Tuesday March 18, 2008 at the Rykers Ridge Cemetery in Madison. Family and friends may gather at Lytle Funeral Chapel from 4 to 7 PM Monday March 17, 2008.
