Life story Pamela Marie "Pam" Wells, age 56, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her residence. Born November 13, 1954 in Madison, she was the daughter of Joseph Wilson and Harriet Marie (Inskeep) Wells. Ms. Wells was a graduate of Madison High School and held a bachelor's and master's degree. She was retired from the Madison State Hospital, serving there as a psychiatric attendant. Her memberships included the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, NAACP, and was a union steward for AFSCME. She also was a singer. Survivors include two sons: Joshua David Wells and his wife, Stacy, of Madison; Ian Joseph Wells of Madison; two brothers: Terrence Lee Wells and David Allen Wells and his wife, Lou Ann, all of Madison; one sister, Valerie Lynn Murray and her husband, Reverend Phil Murray of Madison; three grandchildren: Kierra, Tayran and Rashan Wells, all of Madison; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joseph Maurice Wells. Memorial services will be conducted by Reverend Robert Scott at 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, June 9, and from 10 AM until time of services on Friday.
