Obituary

Life story Mr. Paul H. Dowling, age 70, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Baptist Northeast Hospital in LaGrange, Kentucky. He was born on August 8, 1942 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the son of Kelso and Florence (Stockdale) Dowling. Mr. Dowling was a former employee of the Charlestown Powder Plant, Marble Hill, Hamilton-Kittle Monuments, and retired as the owner and operator of P.D. Excavating Company in Madison. He was a member of the Milton Wesleyan Church, Madison Moose Lodge, and the Laborer's Union. He enjoyed watching basketball, the Speed and History channels, and was a member of the Asphalt Angels Car Club. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Greg and Linnatta Dowling of Bedford; two daughters: Kathy L. Morris and her companion, Dan Leffew of Edgewater, Florida, and Lisa Stewart of Milton; one sister, Betty Conover of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Beverly Bright on May 3, 2007, and to whom he was married on September 30, 1962; and two brothers: Dale Smith and Kenneth Sevier. Funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend Wayne Mahoney and Keith Wingham at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Milton Wesleyan Church, with interment to follow in Moffett Cemetery, Milton. Friends and family may call at the Milton Wesleyan Church form 4 to 8 PM Monday, January 28, and from 12 to 1 PM Tuesday. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Paul H.
