Life story Mr. Paul D. Moore, Sr., age 93, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 11, 1921 in Madison, the son of Benjamin and Pearl Lawrence Moore. He was a chief aviation photographer's mate in the United States Navy during World War II and was awarded American Area Campaign Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal. Mr. Moore attended engineering school in Cincinnati, Ohio prior to his employment as an engineer with the Meese Company in Madison. He retired in 1988 after many years of service. He enjoyed piddling and fabricating in his garage. Survivors include his wife, Veronica Davis Moore, whom he married on August 14, 1989 in Madison; one son, Paul Moore, Jr. of Lexington, Indiana; one daughter, Nancy of Kentucky; three step-sons: Mark A. Hunt and his wife, Susan of Madison, Brian C. Hunt and his wife, Monica of Mansfield, Ohio, and Derek S. Hunt and his wife, Ashley of Madison; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Moore in 1988; and several sisters. Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday. Private graveside services will be held at Springdale Cemetery. The Honor Guard of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion will conduct graveside services.
