Life story Paul Edward Sever, age 82, of Brooksville, Florida passed away Saturday June 11, 2005 at his home. Born June 22, 1922 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Clarence Russell and Clara M. (Santschi) Sever, who preceded him in death. His father passed away in 1962 and his mother in 1946. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence L. Sever in 1936. Mr. Sever was a licensed funeral director and owner of Sever Mortuary in Hanover, Indiana and Chapel on the Hill in Veedersburg, Indiana. He also owned and operated Sever Barber Shop in Veedersburg. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, Chaplain and member of the D.A.V. Chapter 67 of Brooksville, American Legion Post 288 of Veedersburg, Indiana, V.F.W. Post 10209, and Northcliffe Baptist Church both of Spring Hill. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo along with singing. Mr. Sever is survived by his wife, Delphine; Daughters and sons-in-law: Susan Kay & Bernard Rife of Bradenton, FL, Paula Elaine & Bill Stitzel of Springfield, OH, Holly Blye Frazier of Veedersburg, IN and Clara Margaret & Edwin "Buck" Kidwell of Madison, IN; nine Grandchildren: Ronald and Tim Rife of Springfield, Ohio, Michael Rife of Bradenton, Florida, Brenda Stockel of Northfield, Ohio, Mike Stitzel of Springfield, Ohio, Mike Frazier of Waveland, Indiana, Kirk Frazier of Attica, Indiana, Kim Lytle of Madison, Eddie Kidwell of Louisville, Kentucky and several Great Grandchildren including Ivy Clair Lytle. A memorial gathering will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Northcliffe Baptist Church, Spring Hill, FL with Rev. Jerry Waugh & Chaplain Chuck Merkle officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Marine Corps Detachment League #708. His ashes will be interred in Zoar Cemetery.
