Life story Mrs. Pearla Jean Gaylord, age 69, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at her residence. Born October 5, 1945 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Samuel L. and Anna Mae (Swango) Zearing. Mrs. Gaylord graduated from Trimble County, Kentucky, High School in 1958 and lived in the Madison and Hanover area most of her life. During her working career, she was employed by the former Conn Organ Company, the King's Daughters' Hospital and retired in 2012 after working for Subway Sandwich Shops in Madison and Hanover. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Bill" Gaylord, Sr., to whom she was married on October 19, 1973 in Saint Louis, Missouri; two daughters: Carolyn Wood and her husband, Paul of Madison, and Samantha Rowlett and her husband, Tony of Milton, Kentucky; two sons: Donald Gray, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Milton, and Charles "Billy" Gaylord, Jr. of Hanover; one sister, Ruth Stucker; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
