Penny Louise Edgington, age 67, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie (Gleason) Neukirchner, was born on July 16, 1955, in Chillicothe, Ohio. She graduated from Unioto High School in Chillicothe and was a homemaker throughout her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed planting flowers, butterflies, watching NASCAR especially Jimmie Johnson, and spending time with her poodles: Mia and Mya and her cats: Lillie & Precious. Ms. Edgington passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at her residence in Madison.

Her life will be cherished by her children: Brandy Edgington and her companion, Rick Fox, of Madison, Jennifer Wingham and her husband, Greg of Madison, Charles Edgington Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Hanover; her step-mother: Garnett Neukirchner of Frankfort, Ohio; her sisters: Ruby Colvin and her husband, Arlie of Madison, Tina Skirvin and her husband, Tommy of Hanover, Tasha Neukirchner, of Dayton, Ohio, and Farrah Smith, of Frankfort; her brothers: Frank Neukirchner, Jr. and Jesse Neukirchner, both of Frankfort; her sister-in-law: Cheryl Hardesty and her husband, Larry of Circleville, Ohio; her grandchildren: Jeremy Butters, Jordan Butters, Justin Butters, Blake Wingham, Logan Edgington, Lindsey Edgington, Coragen Evans, Josef Stevens, and Violet Stevens; her great grandchildren: Mason Butters, Jordan Tankersley, Wrenleigh Edgington, Luna Evans, Teresa Evans, and Joseph Evans; several nieces and nephews, and her aunts, uncles and cousins in Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie in 1977 and her father, Frank in 2019.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop. Friends and family may visit at Lytle Welty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday.
