Life story Phyllis I. Poynter, age 63, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at her residence. She was born on November 22, 1939 in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Jesse and Pauline (Bruder) Wood. Mrs. Poynter was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Denise Juarez and her husband, Armando, of Cecil, Ohio; two sisters: Carolyn Stoner and Janice Wood, both of Nappanee, Indiana; two brothers: Raymond Wood and Roger Wood, both of Gillett, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Megan, Marcel, Yolanda and Erica; and seven great grandchildren: Daniel, Justin, Conner, Austin, Dustin, Brea, Aryssa, Jessica and Barrett. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nathan Carl Poynter on May 23, 2003, and to whom she was married on December 15, 1958; one sister and one great grandchild, Billy. Funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend Robert Leach at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, and from 9:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
