Life story Mrs. Reba Lynn (McAlister) Kaltenbacher, 60, of Hanover, Indiana passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 in Carrollton, Kentucky . She was born February 3, 1951 in Madison, Indiana, the daughter of Donald and Francis (Tilley) McAlister, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church with her husband. She was a member of the women's auxillaries of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and golf and loved UK Basketball and attending her grandchildrens sporting events. Survivors include her husband, John C. Kaltenbacher, whom she married on August 27, 1985 in Inverness, Florida: a son, Kenneth W. Garrett and his wife, Melinda of Hanover; a daughter, Kendra L. Perry and her husband, Jason of Hanover; a step son, John M. Kaltenbacher and his wife, Joyce of Holland, Indiana; two step daughters, Cinda Starcher and her husband, Russell of Pomeroy, Ohio and Michelle Ruffin and her husband, Chester of Texas; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald Jr. and Barbara McAlister, Michael and Marian McAlister, and Danny and Jenny McAlister, all of Madison; and eight grandchildren: Haley and Abbey Garrett, Michael Perry, Jessica and Ashley Kaltenbacher, Heather Howard, and Amber and Jacob Ruffin. Bimp McAlister and Father John Meyer will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Wednesday May 4, 2001 at Lytle Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 till 8:00 PM on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at the Lytle Funeral Chapel and from 11:00 until time of service on Wedneday. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or Southwestern Schools Athletic Department.
