Life story Mr. Richard Phillip "Phil" Bach, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the Hickory Creek of Madison Nursing Home. He battled Alzheimer's and diligently fought for ten years. He was born on May 26, 1935 in Van Housten, New Mexico, the son of Harry and Veva Wills Bach, and raised in Los Angeles, California. An injury ended his baseball career after two years. He drove semi trucks for a brief time then joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, from which he retired after forty years. He was joined in holy matrimony on December 21, 1974 to Margie Elaine Lee and in 1978 they moved to Madison to begin work at the Marble Hill Nuclear Power Plant. Mr. Bach was a dedicated member of the North Madison Church of Christ. He enjoyed special moments with his family and friends, traveling, music, outside ventures and all of God's creation. He was a humble man who went about doing good things because he believed that is what good people do. He was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures. His smile, laughter, and his generous love will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
